From March 1st through March 14th, the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association’s award-winning dining promotion and fundraiser comes to life in Old Town Fort Collins! Great Plates presented by Eye Center of Northern Colorado is a celebration of the Downtown dining community and highlights restaurants offering dinner specials for $25! In addition, 100% of donation proceeds from this community culinary celebration benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County. Now in its 14th year, the promotion has become the Food Bank for Larimer County’s largest fundraiser with over $106,000 being donated in 2018.

Shamrock Festival @ Oak St Plaza
Delight in the “Luck ‘O’ the Irish” with the entire family at this alcohol-free Fort Collins-style celebration of Irish heritage, customs and traditions. This inaugural event takes place in Oak Street Plaza and captures the Irish spirit through live performances of traditional music and dance, hands-on activities, kid-friendly games and tasty green treats!

Night on the Town is Downtown Loveland’s “night out” with many art galleries and businesses offering a ready welcome from 5 pm to 9 pm. There’s plenty of fine and casual dining, craft beer tasting rooms and retail shops to enjoy. You’ll find snacks, live music and sales in multiple locations, all part of an inviting atmosphere and hearty welcome from downtown businesses. It’s an opportunity to spend an evening with friends in our downtown.

Notice as you stroll along 4th Street between Jefferson Avenue and Garfield Avenue there are sculptures (which change annually) that are part of the City of Loveland’s “The Art Advocacy Project” known as TAAP for short. It’s an easy-to-enjoy outdoor art exhibit!

Night on the Town activities change season to season, so there might be pop-up sales, sidewalk art or pedicabs in summer, or horse carriage rides, hot chocolate or the annual Festival of Lights in winter. Retailers and restaurants may run Night on the Town specials, art galleries have special exhibits and in general, you’ll find people strolling 4th Street and often there is music in the air.

District 6 & Friends Arts Walk ~ Greeley

Location: Union Colony Civic Center
District 6 High Schools will have their artwork on display at the Tointon Gallery, 651 10th Ave., during the annual Art Walk. All District 6 High Schools were invited to participate in the exhibit and include Early College Academy, Greeley Central High School, Greeley West High School, Jefferson Senior High School, and Northridge High School.

The show begins with an opening reception and light refreshments Friday, March 1, in conjunction with the celebration of the downtown annual Art Walk, and runs through Saturday, March 16. The Tointon Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and during many of the performances at the Union Colony Civic Center. Admission to the gallery is free. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, March 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Fangalangus Island is an original dance theatre production stressing the importance of creativity to a child’s sense of self-worth. Fangalangus Island is home to several interesting characters including Queen Eugenia, the Quitaberry Fairies, the hair loving Trolicks, Treeman, an eleven foot talking tree, and his brother Shrumann, a short talking mushroom. When a man named Jake arrives at the island, he finds himself attempting to defeat the “imagination crushing” gray fog that threatens to destroy the island. Working together, Jake and the island’s inhabitants must discover the three keys that will release pure imagination into the atmosphere, thereby saving Fangalangus.

Consider yourself at home! This Tony and Olivier Award-winning show is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and is widely hailed as a true theatrical masterpiece. The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
